The “Not-for-profit organisations” department offers advice to any not-for-profit organisation on legal, tax and not-for-profit issues.

It has an excellent reputation in a number of areas, for example:
culture, athletics, church and religious associations, health and social welfare, trade unions and professional organisations, corporate philanthropy and sponsorship, professional training, works councils, Friendly Societies and cooperatives.

The department can advise at all stages during the life and development of not-for-profit organisations; in particular on:

- creation of social structures (foundations, associations, endowment funds, employment unions, cooperatives, mutual insurance companies, etc.),
- monitoring their performance,
- implementation of reorganisation, restructuring and development strategies,
- restructuring: mergers, demergers, partial business transfers, etc.,
- the division into sectors or spin-offs of commercial activities,
- legal, company and tax audits,
- the management of relations between employers – employees – voluntary workers,
- relations with governmental departments and local authorities,
- contracts,
- the management of internal disputes,
- the management of administrative, social, tax disputes, etc.,
- winding up and liquidation,
- insolvency,
- corporate philanthropy and sponsorship.
With its unique and historical experience, the « Not-for-profit organisations» department relies on a team of some 15 lawyers, which is the largest team in France.
